61: The sixth form I went to

The sixth form I went to was proven to put ethnic minority students in lower sets. And while they responded saying that the proportion of ethnic minority students is higher than the national average this distracts from the fact that they are putting students’ futures at risk. I didn’t recognise this at the time but now as I am learning to look at my own white privilege, I think it is important that we recognise when this is happening so that it can be challenged.
