106: “a teacher had labelled...”

When I was 13, a teacher had labelled a black boy naughty before he'd even entered the classroom. On our first day he went into his bag to get his glasses. She started shouting at him for playing with his mobile phone. He tried to explain it was his glasses but she wouldn't let him finish. Usually deferential to teachers, I was so angry at the injustice I shouted "he was getting his glasses!" - she stopped shouting. She only heard me because I was white and she never apologised to the boy.
