88: “…presuming a single woman who isn’t white must be a prostitute.”
My friend who was born in Sri Lanka is a brown (her word), curvaceous woman with striking features. When she goes on business trips alone and for a drink at the hotel bar men approach her, presuming that a single woman who isn’t white must be a prostitute. The lewdness these men display towards her and the aggression they display when rebuffed, is beyond anything I as a white woman has experienced.
