119: “ My friend, who’s Black, tells me not to speed...”

My friend, who's Black, tells me not to speed when we drive. She speeds when she drives. But I understand that there is stress in handing control over to me when I speed and in turn put us in danger of being pulled over, where she then has to interact with probably a white cop as a passenger. I see having control over that interaction is important which is why that double standard is a false one.
