71: Work experience in Parliament

A young man at our school got a work experience placement with his MP at the House of Commons. Even though he was wearing a suit, people assumed he was a member of the cleaning or catering staff. There are countless stories of this happening to Black students on work experience in many sectors but this does not seem to happen to white students - people assume a young person dressed for work is in fact on work experience.
