School debate. Many years ago, the National Front organised in my city, I was 17 and did not know what we should do. We held debates at school so we proposed the motion ‘This House would march with the National Front’. Getting people to speak for both sides was a challenge. The debate was very tense and difficult. But it gave us a chance to experience what was at stake and how the NF threatened our black friends. No, this house did not decide to march with the National Front.
